Hiebert
Greg Hiebert brings 26 years of studying,
practicing, teaching and coaching the art and science of effective
leadership. His passion is in helping organizations and individuals
achieve sustained high performance through building effective
and profound leadership capability and capacity.
Currently Greg is a partner in a small privately
held professional services company, eXerceo Group, and focuses
on helping organizations transform their leadership development
into an integrated business discipline that produces breakthrough
leaders. eXerceo Groups distinctiveness is that it supports
and equips clients with powerful new models about how to manage
and develop their leadership in extraordinary ways. At the
core of eXerceo Groups approach is that development
requires guided and facilitated action. Wonderful classroom
education can create new insights and awareness but it is
in the midst of challenging work that one must produce new
behavior. eXerceo Group helps individuals and organizations
craft strategies and actions that enable and support these
new behaviors to occur, be reinforced and be sustained. Additionally,
eXerceo Group provides systemic and integrated recommendations
and solutions for client organizations on how to build sustainment,
reinforcement and support into the leadership development
process. Some of eXerceo Groups current clients include
the US Air Force, Equant, Cox Communications, Broadwing Communications,
VHA, Deaconess Billings Clinic, and Kimberly Clark.
Prior to this, Greg was a management consultant
for Egon Zehnder International, focusing on helping clients
solve their most important talent management issues and needs.
In addition to helping clients find exceptional senior executive
talent, Greg provided rigorous management assessment as well
as trusted advice so that clients would have the tools, frameworks
and rigor to build their leadership bench strength. In the
midst of this work, Greg also provided executive coaching
to his clients. His search focus was on service industries,
telecommunications, high technology companies, and consumer
products and retailers. Greg was a co-leader in Egon Zehnders
talent management practice and served clients such as Sprint,
Motorola, Nokia, BellSouth, Randstad, Pharmacia, Novartis,
Solvay Pharmaceuticals, Equant, Sky Chefs, Sonera, France
Telecom, National Linen Services, Home Depot and the US Air
Force.
Before joining Egon Zehnder, Greg was in high
technology companies serving in a host of senior leadership
roles to include vice president of operations and vice president
of professional and client services where he managed several
teams of network engineers, software engineers and consultants.
Prior to this Greg spent three years at BellSouth Telecommunications
serving in several senior leadership positions in customer
service operations, leadership development and strategic planning.
While at BellSouth, Greg won several awards for his work on
leadership development to include creating and implementing
a leadership model that was used extensively and highly successfully
in BellSouths Small Business Operating Unit. Previously,
he was with the Atlanta office of McKinsey & Company,
serving a variety of clients in the high technology, health
care, telecommunications and utility industries especially
focused on leadership development and building high performance
cultures and teams.
Before moving to Atlanta, Greg served for 12
years in the United States Army, primarily as an airborne
infantry officer as well as serving on the faculty of the
United States Military Academy at West Point teaching leadership,
ethics and organizational change. Greg graduated from the
United States Military Academy at West Point with a Bachelor
of Science degree in General Engineering. He also has a Master
of Business Administration degree from the Harvard Business
School where he graduated with high distinction. He has resided
in Atlanta for the last eleven years and is very active in
young adult ministry focusing on leadership development. He
and his wife, a pediatric nurse-manager, have four children.
